Pictologue - The Desert crossing

The monsoons approach and I must rouse my rested legs to pass through India, Vietnam, Laos, Thailand and Cambodia before thr roads turn to a mushy pulp. I should love to empty my mind onto the sheets of Sabo.com but shall put this on hold for a month. For the mean time Here are some pictures of the great desert crossing from the Caspian Sea to Eastern Uzbekistan.full

A moment of rest before the desert

The first view of what lay ahead.

A magnificent moment. The exotic road into the
desert had started

George (met on the Caspian Sea crossing) and a
distant herd of 50 or so camels

A shade from the wind and sun

Big sun sunsets and beautiful cycling

The only tree for hundreds of miles, feeding from
its own water storage system

Desert Voodoo

Desert comedy......an alocated picnic spot!

The road

The bike

The tyres

George, my very welcomed cycle partner decides enough is enough. Desert voodoo and terrible road conditions (wind too) have him hitching out the other side. of the desert. A very sad farwell........................

A detail on the lanscape! But no water found

ASPHALT!

A haven...water...food.......pictures of water falls and paradise islands

The 5th puncture in one day cycling on Russian tyres

Out of the desert and a sandy shower.

Seriously - Well done dude!
Olly threw this link at me today and im blown over!
I am sitting here shifting pixels around a screen wondering if there is something else to life, and there you are, in glorious colour, crunching mile after mile in crazy conditions - seeing the world! I'm suddenly in awe of what your doing - simply amazing!

Inspired & inspiring!

Very Good Luck
